JUNE 2018

After leaving Georgia, we knew it was time to head North, along the East Coast. God had put Maine on our hearts back in Florida and we just knew He would open and close the doors as He saw fit. We knew He wanted faithfulness, so we pushed forward.

We left Savannah at the end of May, heading up to Knightdale/Raleigh, NC. We were given the “Come on!” by Knightdale Baptist Church. When we arrived, we met a kind man who did the scheduling for the church of entertainment/speakers. He had already informed us that they were going to have The Ambassadors, an awesome Southern Gospel group, the following Saturday night. We were very excited, not only to hear them, but to be able to briefly share our ministry. It was an awesome concert! We were also treated to barbecue from a local BBQ restaurant…SO GOOD! It is true what they say, though…North Carolina BBQ is very different from Texas BBQ, more tangy. We enjoyed it very much, though! Such a blessing! We love free food.

The church had an awesome gym with many rooms on the top floor and a huge kitchen on the bottom floor. It was AMAZING to be able to cook up a meal on a regular stove, or use an oven or the large griddle! Luxuries often forgotten to be just that when you don’t live in a tent.

We didn’t stay long there, it was just a pit stop, but while there, we met a man named Paul Infranco from another church in the area. We were visiting his church for an event they were having with slides and games and lots of candy. They also had a hayride that went through the woods and it had “stations” telling the stories of Jesus…birth to resurrection. It was so cool! We loved it! On the hayride is where we met Paul and he remains a good friend to this day, calling regularly.

One of the days there (June 6, 2018) we completed our first year on the road…the beginning of the second year. We feel so privileged to be allowed to minister to others, in any way God leads and allows! A full year on the road is no small feat and we know that if God was not in this Journey of ours, we never would have gotten this far. Here’s to another year ahead!

After a few more days there, we headed to the Washington D.C. area, staying at Greenbelt National Park. More on that in the next blog!
