Matt made a frame for a wind deflector on to place in front of the top rack on our Suburban. He had to take it to a metal shop, though, because he did not know how to bend and rivet sheet metal onto it. He took it to Martin Sheet Metal, because it is about a mile from our house. It was there for about a week. When Matt went back to pick it up, there were 2 employees that wanted to pay the $100 for the job, because they knew we would be traveling and sharing the Gospel with others. The owner, Mark Martin, though, told them both that NO ONE would be paying for it; he was giving it to us free of charge. That in itself was amazing! It turned out that Mark Martin is a Minister, as well, working in prison ministry. He told Matt, “I do not own this business. It is just a means for me to do ministry work.” Pretty awesome!

One of the men that wanted to pay for the work was named Henry Martin (no relation to each other). He is a pastor at a church in Hale Center, just 45 minutes from Lubbock. He asked Matt to come and speak at his church that next Sunday. Even though that was our last Sunday at Highland, we just felt that, since this will be our way of life, we had to answer the call to speak there. It was a tiny church, with only about 25 people. Regardless, though, it is always a worthwhile opportunity to sare ourselves and our Savior with others, Saints and Lost, alike.
