We came to Cheyenne on July 10th. We started out at the local KOA,  but ultimately wound up at Terry Bison Ranch,  right on the state border. Matt felt all along that our being at the Ranch had something to do with our dog,  Stormie,  and her 7 puppies. He was right! We found a home for 6 of them there! Good people to give them good homes. We are so thankful it all worked out so well!

We participated in the evening VBS at North Cheyenne Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Brubeck and his wife, Angela. This family really came through for us in a big way and we couldn’t be more grateful for their Brotherly love to us, strangers they had only known 2 days. On Friday, July 14th, Matt’s blood sugar reached 450. We had to take him into the Cheyenne Regional ER to get it down. The Brubeck’s jumped right in and took carr of our kids overnight,  feeding them,  clothing them,  and just all-around just loving them. Thank y’all so much for your kindness!

We also want to thank Pastor Dan Irish of Harvest Time Fellowship. We met with him to find out the needs of his church. Although he could not utilize us right now, he felt led to donate to us, which is always a very big blessing. Thank you so much, Pastor Irish! You helped us get through!

We also met a man named Tim Tyler. He saw us driving by and decided to check out our Facebook and website. He really liked what we are doing and reached out to us,  inviting us to services at “his” church, Second Baptist. We joined them for 2 Wednesday evenings and again on a Sunday morning. This was an awesome Worship Experience! We very much enjoyed our time at Second Baptist and hope to visit again. Thank y’all so much for the Love Token,  well. It is always a blessing and a help for us!

On Sunday, July 16th, we visited at Sunnyside Baptist Church. We met Pastor Ed Boyd and made a plan to meet up midweek.  On Wednesday of that week,  we met with him and his wife,  Sara. What an awesome time with these two we had! We spent 3 hours just chatting in his office! Pastor Ed scheduled Matt to preach on the 23rd. Matt did an awesome job! We also left the Ranch and got the privilege of staying at the church. Air Conditioning and Electricity and a Kitchen… Amen! It was such a wonderful gift and we made friends for life with Ed and Sara!

We left Cheyenne on Tuesday, August 1st. We had $20…not enough for gas. Matt had determined, though, that we could be broke in Cheyenne,  where God told us to leave 3 days before,  or we could be broke in Casper, where we knew we were supposed to be. We packed up our tent site and went to say good bye to the friends our kids had made. Their mom handed us $100! As soon as we were obedient, God honored it. Praise God for His faithfulness!

Our time in Cheyenne was up and down, but ultimately we loved it! Made great friends whom we feel we can call family. If you’re ever in Cheyenne, check these churches. You won’t be disappointed.
